How is My Plan Different?

THE SOKOLSKY PLAN is different from other weight-loss plans in a variety of ways. These differences have helped my clients and myself to achieve more effective and long-lasting results.

I give you realistic, honest and straightforward information about weight loss. I avoid gimmicks and quick fixes (both of which are sometimes unhealthy and usually ineffective for permanent weight loss).

THE SOKOLSKY PLAN places an emphasis on the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual aspects of overeating. Addressing these issues will result in a much greater likelihood of achieving long-lasting success.

The plan uses no surgery, no drugs and no weight-loss pills.

The plan shows you how to be properly motivated and how to set realistic, attainable goals. When you are motivated and set goals that work for you, the results are powerful.

The plan encourages you to make healthy food choices, but you choose what you eat and drink.

Rather than going for long periods of time without eating or “learning to be hungry,” I show you how to eat so that you will never be hungry. On the plan, you will be able to eat up to ten times a day.

The plan can be effective for those who exercise very little or not at all (although I do explain the overall benefits of an easy-to-do exercise routine).

The plan addresses the nature of addiction and how it relates to overeating. Whether you agree with me or not, you can still implement the entire plan.


I discourage the idea that being thin in-and-of itself will make you happier. This realization will allow you to lose more weight than you otherwise would!

The plan teaches you how to maintain your weight loss once you achieve your goals. The plan that you will use to lose weight is the same plan that you will use to maintain weight loss. This prevents all the problems that arise when you do an impossible-to-sustain “gimmick” diet and then try to keep the weight off.

On THE SOKOLSKY PLAN, once you achieve your goal weight, you may actually be able to eat more than you ate when losing weight.
